What’s a sniper blog?

A sniper blog is a website focused on selling one affiliate product based on great search results. The sites are simple 3-5 pages max all pointing to one product that can be purchased.

How can it make money?

Sniper blogs have one purpose, and that’s to sell the product its talking about. They sell one product off of multiple banner adds and a few clever articles telling how the product will solve the readers problem.

WordPress comes installed with only 2 plugins, Akismat and Hello dolly. You’ll need to search plugins for Tag Clouds. The one I recommend and is featured on this blog, and the majority of my blogs is called “WP-cumulus.”

Use WP-Cumulus Plugin

I love the WP-Cumulus plugin because you can really tweak it to fit your brands color, size requirements and speed of the motion. These are 3D Tags that spin! To find this plugin go into your WordPress Plugins section and run a serach. Search for WP Cumulus by Roy Tanck.

Add Your custom information to the tag cloud

You can easily adjust the width and height of this widget. You can even use exact color codes that you want.

Once you’ve identified the need for you to create your first fan page, or your 12th, there are some sneaky tricks I want to share with you.

1.Leverage a webinar to drive traffic

Have a business partner do a FREE training webinar showing how to generate lots of traffic.

That’s what happened to me when Cory Shanes did a free training video to promote his coaching. It was amazing to see how in 24 hours I had 50 likers for Marcelle Allen – Internet Entrepreneur .

Getting many people on the webinar is great & when people miss the webinar, you can leverage the fact that if they help so-and-so (in this case Marcelle) get to a certain number, that the webinar will be given away for FREE. Thanks Amber & everyone else for helping our cause.

Now we didn’t hit the goal yet, but I know Cory has several more webinars planned this month.

It’s win-win in social media land.

Now, as I begin to grow my fan base, I have a place that connects people back to me. Be fore we did this new fan page, I was managing several fan pages, but no link back to me. So as you grow the # of your Facebook pages you manage, consider having one all about you.

2. Sneaky ninga code to invite all facebook friends at once.

My friend Avram Gonzales created this video with some secrets. Visit his site  for the video and full instructions it’s the second video on the page followed by 8 steps to follow.

This is the code for easy reference:

Make sure there are no spaces when you post the code. If you haven’t done it before, follow those 8 steps.

3. Use the best widgets & plugins.

If you’re using WordPress – you can add the plugin called ‘Facebook Like Box’ and feature your new fan page (business page) on the right or left tool bar. If you don’t have a WP blog yet, you can just follow Facebooks guidelines for promoting business pages.

Many new bloggers are still using Internet Explorer and aren’t aware it might be holding them back. My vote is to give Firefox and Chrome a try. Please vote below.

Want to add a poll to your blog? Download the plugin called WP-Polls.

Want to add a video to your blog? Grab the HTML code from the youtube video and paste it into your HTML tab of your WordPress blog post.

When you find a great video on youtube that you want to add into a wordpress post, look for the <Embed> and paste this into the “HTML” tab in your post.

On your left sidebar on your dashboard, look for the Media box. Click Add New

If you insert your picture and it is too big. You can click the box on the top left corner to adjust it, or delete it. I like to make them at 80-60% of biggest size.

Once you’ve adjusted your pictures. Make sure to hit update and then save your draft. Using the preview button helps too.

Tips to remember.

1. Make sure you title your picture intelligently for SEO purposes.

2. Your Title jpg counts for SEO too.

3. Under link URL you can click none, or insert an affiliate link in that space.

4. Make sure if you’re writing over your picture you use good font, this font sucks after I shrunk it.

You’ve got to know people have your back.

What is a blog alliance?

They call it a blog alliance, when a few people come together to give feedback, support, encouragement, comments, reshares, retweets, etc. The end result is social proof.

Now not all blog alliances are worthy of your time. Occasionally I’ll see a group starting out and they’re all in the same niche… you can’t succeed at this if you’re all writing about organic food, selling the same affiliate programs, and writing to the same hundreds of people over and over. I had a fairly good experience with TSA until they changed from google docs (if you’re reading this let me & can help, let me know)

There are some alliances that are free, some you pay to be a part of. But just to get started, joining a monthly membership program isn’t necessary.

How to find/create a blog alliance?

You can ask around. I found my first 3 people simply from posting a facebook update with my request.

You can join our coaching program and connect with dozens of people learning to buildtheir first or second blog. You’ll have a chance to have your submitted to some already deep and established traffic channels.

Google it with key words in your specific industry.

Get really clear on what you want help with and what you can do for others

Are you nervous about your first video? Get your alliance to give you feedback.

Do you want to get 3 tweets the first day you publish a blog, ask for that.

Do you want 10,000 people to see your post on facebook. Find people who will promote you and write compelling content.

People cannot help you if you don’t know what you want.
